Jessica Lange Is Headed Back To Broadway In A Familiar Role.

NEW YORK (AP) — Jessica Lange will return to Broadway next spring in a production of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night,” playing the same role she did 15 years ago in London.Avid fans of American Horror Story and Jessica Lange were disappointed to find out that her four-season tenure on the FX anthology series had officially come to an end last year.

Jessica Lange and Gabriel Byrne will star in “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” by Eugene O’Neill next spring, the Roundabout Theatre Company announced today. Lange previously played the role of Mary Tyrone in a 2000 production of O’Neill’s familial drama in London, receiving an Olivier Award nomination for her performance as the morphine-addicted mother. Her co-stars in this new Roundabout Theater Company production include Gabriel Byrne, as her husband and Tyrone patriarch, and John Gallagher Jr. as their son Edmund. The New York Times reports that the show will begin previews March 31, 2016, and open on April 19 at the American Airlines Theater under the direction of Jonathan Kent.

The production is part of Roundabout’s 50th Anniversary Season and will be presented along with Harold Pinter’s “Old Times,” starring Clive Owen, “Thérèse Raquin,” starring Keira Knightley, and “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn, over the 2015-2016 season.
