I did always say to myself, ‘I hope I meet a girl like her someday,'” Mraz told The Osider of Carano in August. “In 2011, we both found ourselves single and decided to collaborate.

It was only in 2011 when they got together. “She is whole-hearted in every action, is extremely generous, completely drama-free, and has the most intuitive-genius-mind in the kitchen. The nuptials, led by Terces Engelhart of Cafe Gratitude, were said before a small guest list of around 50 family and friends, Mraz’s rep confirmed to E! We’ve created a really awesome life together, and we make a great team,” Carano told the magazine. “He’s the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. The wedding took place at the Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville where Mraz grew up— easily identified by a unique outlined house outdoors complete with faux windows. According to a source, the couple, which clearly has a penchant for the outdoors, is set to honeymoon via a road trip, enjoying the autumn foliage along the way.

While they may have crossed paths nearly a decade ago, they didn’t start dating until 2011. “After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned—and now he’s my stud. I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights,” the singer said during the Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights.
