Did Tyler James Williams Just Reveal That Jaden Smith Will Star in Static Shock?.

During a recent interview at Comic-Con, actor Tyler James Williams (Walking Dead) may have spilled the beans that Jaden Smith has landed the lead role in upcoming live-action series Static Shock. In October it was rumored that Warner Bros. was developing a Static Shock live-action digital series with Django Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin, with Jaden Smith set to play Virgil Ovid Hawkins/Static. Williams was commenting on the lack of young black superheroes in comic books when he was interrupted by two people in the crowd who shouted “Static Shock” and “Spider-Man,” reports Hollywood Life. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said with a knowing smile, before adding, “It’s great to see Static Shock is happening with Jaden.” It’s been rumored since October that the young After Earth star and Will Smith’s son would be starring in the Warner Bros. remake.

The only reason he is getting this role is because he is the son of Will Smith who is starring in DC’s high profile Avengers challenger Suicide Squad.
