She’s taken on the pseudonym Robert Galbraith to write a series of crime novels, she’s writing the script for the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and she’s an avid tweeter.

Rowling’s new stage play following an adult Harry, we were happily reminded Tuesday that another extension of the Harry Potter universe is coming out way very soon. But there’s no news that brings us as much joy (well, except for that Cursed Child play that we’ll never get tickets to) as the news that Rowling might be working on her first children’s book since Harry Potter. It stars Oscar winner Eddie Remayne as “magizoologist” Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston (of Inherent Vice) as a witch named Tina, and Colin Farrell as a wizard named Graves.

Designers came up with a title treatment that recalls the Potter franchise, yet has its own strong and cryptic feel, with a serpent’s tail replacing the lightning bolt. Rowling is working on another children’s book and we have no doubt that she will, once again, inspire even more young readers with her brilliant storytelling.” Rowling has not published a book under her name since The Casual Vacancy in 2012, which was highly anticipated as her first novel for adults and is now being adapted as a BBC miniseries.
