Inside Sandra Bullock’s New Life With Laila and Louis: “It’s Like the WWE”.

Even though parents might be concerned about introducing a new child into the family fold when there’s already a king or queen of the castle, Bullock tells that her son, 5, took to 3-year-old Laila immediately. “He grabbed her hand and dragged her into his playroom the first moment he met her,” she reveals. In 2010, shortly after winning an Oscar for best actress for The Blind Side and separating from husband Jesse James, a surprise People magazine exclusive revealed that Sandra Bullock had adopted a three-and-a-half-month-old boy, Louis Bardo, born in New Orleans (she and husband-at-the-time James had begun the adoption process four years prior). Bullock, 51, revealed she first began the process of expanding her family three years ago, but did not divulge how long she had fostered Laila or when she officially adopted her. Laila, according to People, was in foster care in Louisiana and is 3 1/2 years old. “When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” Bullock, 51, tells People.

After the adjustment period came and went, Louis became like any older brother: playfully aggressive. “But now that time has passed and it’s like the WWE.” Whether it’s the job of the older brother to keep his little sister in line or if it’s their conflicting personalities, Bullock says she’s ready to handle it all. The star admitted there were some challenges in adding Laila to their family, with the little girl needing comfort and reassurances she was there to stay.

Now that Laila is fully ingratiated into the Miss Congeniality star’s home, her personality has really come through. “[Their personalities are] as different as night and day. The siblings have formed a tight bond, and the “Gravity” star said Laila has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.” The trio posed for several family portraits for the magazine taken by the actress’ new boyfriend, photographer Bryan Randall, although Laila’s face is not shown on the magazine cover while Louis wears a superhero mask. As if the story isn’t sweet enough, the family photos featured in the magazine were taken by L.A. photographer and Bullock’s boyfriend Bryan Randall. Where Louis is the quiet watcher and doesn’t need to be the showman, Laila is the performer,” Bullock dishes. “Turns out she has fallen madly in love with Bruno Mars and knows all the words to the videos—that are appropriate!—and the only way to get her to go to sleep is to show her photos of Bruno and tell her he called and wants to know if she’s going to bed.” Now that she has a boy and a girl under her roof, the Oscar winner admits she wasn’t specifically seeking out a girl but is thrilled to have one.
