‘I just miss Bruce’: Kris Jenner opens up in two-part KUWTK special.

Kris Jenner has responded to her former husband’s decision to identify as a woman, telling him that the situation was hard for her to “wrap [her] head around”. If you thought watching the first part of Bruce Jenner’s E! special was raw and honest as he explained his transition to his kids, Part 2 was like sitting on a couple’s counseling session. As Bruce Jenner discussed his transition with his family – with the cameras rolling – the Kardashian and Jenner children cried, laughed and expressed their hope that their dad may finally find true happiness. In an emotional scene during the second (and final) part of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians “About Bruce” special, which aired on Monday, Kris, 59, sat down with ex-husband Bruce, 65, to discuss his revelations. “They still live inside me.

Though she was barely in Sunday’s episode, Bruce’s ex-wife Kris Jenner was a major part on Monday night as she and Bruce had a deeply personal, extremely candid conversation about what went wrong in their marriage; the couple divorced last year after 22 years. Kourtney admits the family knew Bruce was a “cross dresser” in the past but they were never told he was going to “fully transition and become a woman”.

But I’ve got a struggle in my life … In so many ways, I’ve lived my entire life running away from me and who I am.” Kris, who married Bruce in 1991 after splitting from her lawyer husband the late Robert Kardashian, replied that she was confused by Bruce’s decision, and did not think that this would be the “end result” of their relationship, even though they had divorced in 2013. “I just miss Bruce. And that includes you.” Kris confirmed what Bruce said in the Diane Sawyer interview — that Bruce told her many years ago that he liked to wear women’s clothes and had briefly taken female hormones in the 1980s. And that’s going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship; you think you’re going to grow old with somebody, and they drastically change over the course of just a few years,” she said. “All I have really is my memories. She also assumed he lied about taking hormones during their marriage. “You never told me, as a married couple, that you were taking hormones,” she said.

As of the special’s taping in January, neither the Kardashian nor Jenner sisters had met Bruce’s female self. (It seems Kim Kardashian West has seen “her” recently, telling Access Hollywood “she looked beautiful.”) They all would like to – in their own time. “My biggest fear about meeting her for the first time is just I think my reaction. Bruce explained that he never started taking hormones while they were still together; it wasn’t until after they separated and he moved into a new house in Malibu, he started seeing a therapist to work on his gender identity. I’m very facially expressive,” Khloé Kardashian, 30, said. “I don’t want to do anything offensive that would hurt her feelings.” “They’re all kind of nervous to meet her,” he explained. “She’s always more fun, more at ease and feeling good about herself. While there were some comical moments (Kim realising that Bruce had been stealing her clothes, for example), it was overwhelmingly a raw look at the effect of a person’s decision to speak openly about their gender transition has on those who are closest to them.

As a result, she lashed out. “I turned into the Wicked Witch of the West because of the way you were behaving,” she said. “I have always had these issues and I’ve never dealt with them,” Bruce acknowledged. “But as far as our relationship, I wouldn’t go as far as you’re going.” For all the tabloids that have chronicled the dissolution of Bruce and Kris’s marriage, they got all the material they could ever need as they further explored their problems. North West, who turns 2 next month, and 2½-year-old Penelope and 5-month-old Reign Disick are too young to understand what’s happening with their grandfather, but Kourtney Kardashian said she knows her son Mason, 5, is more aware of the situation than his parents realize.

But she and partner Scott Disick agree explaining the meaning of “transgender” to Mason will teach him an important lesson about never judging people – and that they want him to hear about Bruce from them, not kids at school. “It’s only a positive thing for my son and my daughter to know all these different things that go on in the world,” said Disick, 31. “You only really get one chance at this life, so whatever you gotta do to be happy, [you do].” It’s a struggle.” While Kris gets lots of flack as the frequent villain “momager” of the Kardashian universe, the episode reiterated an increasingly common lesson of the Kardashians: They’re actually just human, like the rest of us. His daughters continued to ask lots of questions about when Bruce was officially going to transition into “her.” Bruce was vague on this point: “You will see me and you will know,”he said. Later, stepdaughter Kim Kardashian — whom Bruce said has been the easiest to talk to about his transition — paid him a visit to go through his closet and check out his new clothes. Though he asked a lot of questions, ultimately, Scott emphasized that Bruce being so public with his transition was for the greater good. “Bruce is going to open the door for so many people that are finally going to be able to live their life the way they want,” Scott told the camera. “I mean, you’re talking about the biggest male athlete of our time who was known as the man’s man turning into a lady.
