Watch: Nick Carter and Bindi Irwin are among the famous faces who will compete as the 21st season of Dancing With the Stars kicks off tonight at 8 ET/PT on ABC. The Wildlife Warrior, who has grown up playing with animals, seemed right at home as she took turn holding a number of different creatures in her hand. She then picked up a giant python and held onto it as it moved in her arms, with Bindi appearing nonplussed by the venomous creature as she looked every inch the snake charming pro. And “The Insider With Yahoo” correspondent Keltie Knight was there to catch up with them before the race to the coveted mirror ball trophy officially begins. The brunette teen, who dressed in a casual ensemble of light blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and a purple and orange check shirt thrown on top, couldn’t help but giggle as she posed for pictures with the large snake.

Bindi certainly looked ready to shimmy away on the dance floor in her bright pink dance outfit, but it was the snake wrapped around her neck and waist that was her dance partner for the night. See: David Oyelowo and Kate Mara star in a true story of a hostage who turns to Rick Warren’s inspirational book, The Purpose Driven Life, for guidance. The effervescent Australia Zoo ambassador wore her brunette locks down and parted to the side as she was accompanied on the visit with her mother Terri Irwin, 51. ‘I’m in this space right now where I’m super pumped on life right now.

You don’t understand what positive energy she is.’ Bindi herself told the publication : ‘This is going to be more terrifying than jumping on top of a crocodile. Crocodiles, they are very special because they are modern-day dinosaurs.’But I’ve kind of worked with them my whole life, whereas I’ve never danced before in my life.’ The other stars set to join Bindi on the show include Chaka Khan, Kim Zolciak, Nick Carter, Paula Deen, Alexa Penavega, Andy Grammer, Hayese Grier, Victor Espinoza and Carlos Penavega.
