‘X-Men: Apocalypse': First Look at Psylocke, Magneto & Apocalypse!.

Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Olivia Munn (Psylocke) are killing it with their sizzling smolders on the newest cover of Entertainment Weekly, proving that the latest generation of Marvel’s mutants mean business. “The problem with Days of Future Past is it’s hard to sequelize,” writer-producer Simon Kinberg, who’s been with the franchise since 2006, told the mag. “Whenever we talked about the sequel, the challenge was that it needed to feel not necessarily bigger visually, but that the stakes needed to feel bigger.” “It’s a chaotic world of conflict and war and destruction,” director Bryan Singer said about the movie. “It’s one giant civilization that now requires one giant culling. The end is pretty much always nigh in the X-Men universe, but next year our superheroes will truly face the Apocalypse — that is, a 5,000-year-old mutant who goes by the name Apocalypse, played by Oscar Isaac. Now, EW has released their new cover, which features Olivia Munn’s Psylocke, Micahel Fassbender’s Magneto, and Apocalypse himself, as well as more plot details about the newest installment of the X-Men series: As we know, the main villain of the film is Marvel Comics character Apocalypse, a 5,000year-old mutant who, unsurprisingly, wants to destroy the world. “He’s believed to be the first mutant, whatever that means,” said Oscar Isaac, who plays Apocalypse. “He is the creative-slash-destructive force of this earth.

Alongside him are fellow mutants Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), who make up half of Apocalypse’s Four Horseman in the film, along with Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Archangel (Ben Hardy). Psylocke is looking very much like her character in the comic series X-Men: Legacy in the early ‘90s, giving us that sexy ninja look we have all come to know and love. He also draws Magneto back in, who was trying to live a normal life in Poland. “He’s fallen in love and he’s basically left his metal ways behind,” when the film begins, said Fassbender. “Apocalypse finds Erik at a low ebb and recruits him.” Raven, meanwhile, is helping oppressed and enslaved mutants, including Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler. She doesn’t know about Apocalypse, Lawrence said, but “she hears about what happened to Erik and she wants to seek him out and help him.” She finds Charles, who is teaching at his successful school for mutants. “He’s not teaching anybody how to fight at the moment,” said McAvoy. “He’s teaching people how to control their abilities so that they can work at a bank.
