‘Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June returns to reality TV.

June Shannon, known as Mama June in the TLC reality show, is returning to television as a cast member in the WEtv show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. The reality star took to Facebook to share that she and her family will be returning to our screens the near future and plenty of fans will be excited to have the cameras rolling again.”It was our last resort,” Shannon tells PEOPLE of her decision to appear on the show, which helps troubled couples ultimately decide if they should stay together or not.

“Ok for everyone [who] asked if we are going to be back on TV, the answer is yes and it will be very soon,” Mama June shared on Facebook explaining that her family’s new show will not be on TLC. The casting marks her first permanent television return, following her TLC show being axed in Oct. 2014 after allegations surfaced that she was romantically involved with a convicted sex offender and child molester. TLC cancelled the popular TV show after it was reported the family’s matriarch was dating a registered sex offender — who allegedly molested her own daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell when she was eight.

Though she denied the relationship, posting “It isnt true i promise” on her Facebook page in October, TLC canceled the hit series in the wake of the scandal. McDaniel, who was convicted for aggravated child molestation in 2004, has reportedly just finished serving a 10-year prison sentence after he was convicted for forcing Anna to perform oral sex. The former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo stars will join season four on WEtv’s series among fellow reality regulars The Bachelor’s Sean and Catherine Lowe, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Benzino and Althea Heart, Basketball Wives: LA’s Sunday Carter, plus Cedric and Sarah Oliver and Jimmy “Inkman” Coney from the Bad Girls Club. “We’re doing pretty good, and we’re getting along, but we still live in two separate households because we have to still work on things,” she says. “We spend weekends together. It was either you go here or we end our 11 years.” The WEtv series focuses on bettering couples, placing five pairs under one roof for intense counseling and exercises meant to test the limits of their relationships. At the time, Shannon posted a video on Facebook, denying her involvement with McDaniel, saying, “The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue.
