Lionel Richie Announces ‘All the Hits’ Las Vegas Residency.

The singer performed a storming set at this year’s Glastonbury festival and will be hoping to match that excitement with his 20-show stint across four months in Sin City. And as the name suggests, the crooner plans to perform his extensive back catalogue including All Night Long, Hello, Stuck on You, Dancing on the Ceiling and Say You, Say Me. ‘I can’t wait to share ‘All the Hits, All Night Long’ with all of my fans – it’s a high energy show that is a perfect match for such a vibrant city!’ He told the newspaper: ‘My 21-year-old son, I said to him, ”Miles, what do you think about me playing Vegas?” He said, ”Oh, my God, Dad, that’d be the coolest thing in the world!” Lionel isjoining the ranks of some big names to play Vegas including Celine Dion, Elton John and most recently Britney Spears – someone the star is looking to for tips.

However, the singer will continue to bring his acclaimed show to the stage with a Las Vegas residency beginning April 27th, 2016 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s The Axis. Pharrell Williams, Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan are among the artists that will pay tribute to Richie at his MusiCares benefit gala, set for February 13th, 2016, two nights prior to the 58th Grammy Awards. 2015 may not bring everything that Back to the Future II promised it would: flying cars, self-lacing shoes, we don’t see ’em happening over the next 12 months. (Then again, don’t bet against Nike.) But this year will definitely pack plenty of punch when it comes to cultural happenings. Mad Max will roar back out of the apocalypse while Mad Men rides off into the sunset, rock’s Antichrist Superstar and hip-hop’s Yeezus will rise again.
