Authorities await ID of body believed to be Kristin Cavallari’s missing brother.

Authorities are awaiting the positive identification of a body believed to be that of NFL quarterback Jay Cutler’s brother-in-law, after the remains were discovered in a steep and rocky area in an isolated part of southern Utah. The 30-year-old’s Honda Civic was found abandoned with the engine running and the air bag deployed at the end of November, his phone and laptop were still in the car. Just three days ago former Hills star Kristin Cavallari took to her Instagram to share a photo with her younger brother thanking the public for their support and kind words saying ‘We remain hopeful and I will share any news that we receive. On finding his car, law enforcement officials previously called the circumstances ‘suspicious’ but said there was “nothing to indicate anything one way or another”. The body was sent to the Utah Medical Examiner to confirm the identity and determine the cause of death, a process that could take as long as two months, Grand County Sheriff Steven White said.

The car was found off a dirt road near an interstate highway, according to the rancher who discovered the car there was no blood or signs of foul play. Kristin, who found fame starring in the US reality television programmes Laguna Beach and The Hills, posted a photograph of her and Michael as children on Instagram. The former Hills and Laguna Beach star said in a statement: ‘We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. Kristin Cavallari said in an Instagram post Thursday that her “heart is in a million pieces.” She posted a picture the two of them when they were small children and wrote that her brother “Mikey” had a good heart and always made her laugh.
