Adele Pens Brand New Song “Alive” With Sia—Listen Here!.

The 39-year-old Australian songstress, who is behind hits like Chandelier, wrote a tune called Alive with Adele for the British singer’s forthcoming LP. “We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut, and [Alive] was one of them,” she revealed to Ryan Seacrest during an interview on his radio programme. “I said to her, ‘Do you mind if I pitch it to, let’s say, Rihanna?’ She said, ‘Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don’t want my vocal floating around out there on a demo.’ And I was like, ‘Sure.’ So I went and recut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, ‘You can’t give this away to anybody.’” And Sia claims she named her LP This Is Acting because not only does the star normally write music for other people, sometimes it feels as if her entire career is generated from a veiled perspective because of her need for anonymity. “Most of the songs, if not all of them, I wrote for other people and they were rejected. The enigmatic Australian singer-songwriter said in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 that although the song Alive was written with the British singer-songwriter in mind, on completion it was offered to Rihanna. Sia is responsible for some of this past decade’s biggest pop hits, having written songs for Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Kylie Minogue.

I have rejects from Rihanna, Shakira, Beyoncé, Demi Lovato, all the good girls, (and) Katy (Perry).” While her pop peers have all enjoyed stints at the top of the charts with or without a Sia song, the eccentric Australian artist has an impressive hit rate in recent years. Singles Chandelier, Elastic Heart and Big Girls Cry were all multi-platinum successes and Furler’s credit adorns other memorable pop moments including Rihanna’s Diamonds, Katy Perry’s Double Rainbow, Britney Spears’ Perfume, Kelly Clarkson’s Invincible, David Guetta’s Titanium, Eminem’s Beautiful Pain and Flo Rida’s Wild Ones. The pop artist said Adele, who will release a new album in November, recorded a demo version of the song. “I thought ‘Do I like it, or do I like a million dollars?’ She cut it and it was so amazing.

It has been confirmed it won’t feature girl dancer Maddie Ziegler but will be a “movement-based clip” with the “talent” brought in from outside the US. The track was produced by Jesse Shatkin, who also co-wrote and co-produced Sia’s hit Chandelier – the breakthrough single of her sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear, which she released in July last year. Still, we can’t help but feel a little bitter over the fact that Adele has teased fans about the next installment of her music for awhile, even hinting at a possible album title—25—in a Twitter post in 2014. “Bye bye 25.

See you later in the year x,” she captioned a photo. 2015 arrived and is almost over and still no album—not that we’re bitter or anything. “I haven’t heard [the album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good,” Sheeran told UK’s Capital FM.
