Gwyneth Paltrow hit by thieves as New York Goop store raided of €160,000 deisigner goods.

GWYNETH Paltrow’s packed new pop-up shop at Columbus Circle was robbed of more than $US170,000 ($A238,000) worth of pricey designer bling — including a vintage Bulgari bracelet valued at $US106,000, police said Monday. Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop pop-up store in New York has been targeted by thieves, who escaped with more than $173,000 (€159,630) worth of merchandise on Saturday. Cops said a trio of thieves entered goop market at 10 Columbus Circle about 5pm on Saturday and pried open a display case to lift the loot before making their getaway. Per People, who has its information straight from the N.Y.P.D., Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop pop-up shop, located in New York’s Columbus Circle area, has been robbed. The actress opened the temporary shop, titled goop mrkt, in Manhattan’s Columbus Circle last month (Nov15) and has blogged about it on her lifestyle site goop.com.

The robbers also swiped an 18-karat David Weiss bracelet worth $US43,750, and three men’s Rolex watches valued at $US12,000, $US7,470 and $US3,995, police said. “While the store was crowded during one of our busiest days, thankfully the NYPD responded quickly, our customers and staff are safe, and we remain open for business with proper security precautions in place,” the rep said, calling it “an isolated incident involving a very limited number of items.” The actress, foodie and style maven — daughter of actress Blythe Danner and movie director Bruce Paltrow — appeared at the pop-up’s opening just last week. The unidentified woman told cops that the three had been acting suspiciously, circling the small shop looking at merchandise before one of them used an “unknown object” to pry the case open. The first release will be a health-conscious cookbook, titled It’s All Easy: Healthy, Delicious Weeknight Meals in Under 30 Minutes, which is due out in April (16).

Primarily an online business, the shop allows customers to “be transported into the real-life representation of goop’s digital world, as designed in collaboration with award-winning design firm Roman and Williams,” according to a statement heralding the opening. The inventory includes fashion, beauty and decor merchandise by a bevy of famed designers, including Nili Lotan and Stella McCartney and makeup artist Kjaer Weis.
