Fitness model from Maryland struck and killed by train.

BURBANK – A 37-year-old fitness model featured on the Bravo television shows “Friends to Lovers” and “Work Out” was struck and killed by a train while filming on the tracks in Southern California, authorities said. George “Greg” Plitt Jr. and two other men were filming north of the Burbank train station Saturday afternoon when Plitt was hit by a southbound Metrolink train carrying 185 people, Burbank Police Sgt. Queensland police will today announce a major breakthrough in one of the state’s coldest cases — the 43-year-old kidnapping and murder of schoolgirl Marilyn Wallman.

Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon will reveal the results of the latest forensic tests on a partial skull and confirm it belongs to the Mackay girl, who was 14 when she disappeared while riding to school on March 21, 1972. “It is a breakthrough in terms of being able to reunite Marilyn’s remains with the family, who are obviously quite relieved and have never given up their drive to find out who is responsible for the murder,” Mr Condon, a former state homicide squad boss, said. The fitness model, actor and West Point graduate has appeared on more than 200 magazine covers and NBC’s daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” according to a website in Plitt’s name.
