BURBANK ( — Police confirmed Sunday that reality TV star and fitness model George Gregory “Greg” Plitt Jr. was with a small camera crew when he was struck and killed by a Metrolink train Saturday afternoon. It’s not clear if Plitt himself changed his cover photo, but the time and date connected with the photo reads, “Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:53 a.m.” His profile photo was changed at that time as well. Plitt was described on his website as an “actor, model, entrepreneur and motivational speaker” who had appeared on more than 250 fitness magazine covers. Plitt was an actor on the “Days of Our Lives” daytime TV drama and was seen in several movies, including “The Good Shepherd” and “Terminator Salvation,” according to the website.

Canales said detectives are still interviewing witnesses, and are still trying to determine what led up Plitt’s death, but suicide has been ruled out. Meanwhile on Sunday friends took to Twitter and other social media outlets to remember Plitt, who had been featured in Bravo’s series “Work Out” and “Work Out In The Zone,” as well as in numerous commericals and other programs. My prayers go to his loved ones.” Former professional football player Joe Donnelly also weighed in, saying, “To simplify Greg Plitt as the top fitness model, actor and motivator would be equivalent in saying Michael Jordan was a guy that played some basketball.” Donnelly said Plitt “inspired millions worldwide with his intensity, passion, charisma and amazing ability ‘light a fire’ in even the coldest of souls.” (©2015 CBS Local Media, a division of CBS Radio Inc.
