Ginger Zee Gives Birth! ABC News Chief Meteorologist Welcomes Baby Boy 2 Days After Beginning Maternity Leave.

The healthy delivery comes just two days after the weather expert had her last day on Good Morning America before her much deserved maternity leave. Ginger was treated to surprises, sparkling apple cider and more from her fellow co-hosts including George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer. “I feel like I’m lucky because I’ve had a really good pregnancy, everyone has been so supportive,” she explained on the morning show. “Thanks to you guys…and now I’m going to get a little emotional.

In 2011, Zee left Chicago for “Good Morning America Weekend in New York.” Then, in December 2013, she was named chief meteorologist for the network, following Sam Champion’s departure.
