Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens to Star in Grease Live Musical on FOX.

Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical has also signed on to play bad girl Rizzo in the network’s first-ever live TV production that will air Jan. 31, 2016. “Grease is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy,” said Hough in a statement. “My siblings and I watched it and played it out over and over when we were kids.And surely piquing viewer interest will be its lead female stars, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens, who have been cast as good girl Sandy and the rebellious Rizzo, respectively.There may be at least two undiscovered, Earth-sized planets lurking within our solar system, researchers say in two new papers published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society Letters. Scientists analyzing a set of “extreme trans-Neptunian objects” found that the elliptical paths of the 13 bodies they analyzed had “unexpected orbital parameters.” The team suggests that the discrepancies are the result of “other unknown planets…altering the distribution of the orbital elements.” Such unknown planets — dubbed “Planet X” and now “Planet Y” — would most likely exist beyond Neptune and Pluto, Space.com reports.

Dancing With the Stars judge Julianne Hough will take on the role of Sandy, made famous by Olivia Newton-John in the 1978 movie, while High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens will play Rizzo. Fox heads Dana Walden and Gary Newman made the announcement during the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour, which has been taking place in Pasadena over the last two weeks. In fact, there’s a lot Fox is aiming to get right with this production, especially after NBC’s Peter Pan Live in 2014 failed to live up to the ratings set by surprise hit Sound of Music Live in 2013.
