Celebrity Superlatives: Johnny Depp gets raw.

Like a lot of misunderstood teens, J.K. Author JK Rowling took to Twitter to answer the enduring question on Friday in an exchange with a fan who asked why one of Harry’s children received the middle name of Severus. In a recent interview with The Guardian’s Weekend magazine the “Harry Potter” author spoke about meeting Morrissey and all the magical fandom that ensued. The acclaimed author explained that Harry paid tribute to Snape because of ‘‘forgiveness and gratitude.’’ Though Snape bullied Harry, he also saved him. ‘‘Harry hoped in his heart that he too would be forgiven. The deaths at the Battle of Hogwarts would haunt Harry forever.’’ Rowling said that while a whole essay could be written on why Harry gave his son Snape’s name, it goes to the ‘‘heart of who Harry was, post-war.’’ ‘‘Snape is all grey.

The question of Snape has dogged readers in part because he returned to side of the villain, Lord Voldemort, and killed Harry’s hero, headmaster Albus Dumbledore, in one of the later books in the series, ‘‘The Half Blood Prince.’’ In the final book, ‘‘The Deathly Hallows,’’ Rowling reveals that Snape was acting on Dumbledore’s orders and had protected Harry at school out of love for Harry’s mother, Lily. Like her 20-something Harry Potter fans, she explained how Morrissey’s music still means a great deal to her because of how it got her through some difficult years.

On meeting Morrissey, Rowling said, “I wanted to go back to my 16-year-old self who’s lying there in the dark with the joss sticks, listening to ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now,’ and tell her, ‘You’ll meet him! He’ll know who you are!’” Here’s how it went down: Rowling was in the British department store Harvey Nichols when she spotted the enigmatic singer. “We were looking at each other, getting nearer and nearer, and at almost exactly the same moment we both put out our hands. The Black Mass actor explained that, in 2007, his daughter, Lily-Rose, contracted E. coli and was hospitalized at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital for kidney failure. What was amazing to me was, Morrissey knew who I was.” Her sister-in-law was with her, but she couldn’t talk her down from her moment of unabashed fandom. The FABLife co-host and model eschewed a ritzy dinner for an evening of pork buns and Korean fried chicken wings at the Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City.

The birthday crew then hit the renowned Comedy Cellar, where Teigen was serenaded by husband John Legend and treated to a stand-up routine from comedy great Dave Chappelle. In his latest surprise appearance, the Sorry singer hit 901 Bar and Grill, a local watering hole near the University of Southern California’s campus. The original hotline queen and Phone Down singer took the stage, whipped out her cellphone and pretended to take a call before the audience. “Who is this?
