Greg Plitt, actor and fitness instructor, killed in train accident.

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) — A 37-year-old model featured on the cover of numerous fitness magazines was struck and killed by a train while filming on the tracks in Southern California, authorities said. Army Ranger and Calvin Klein model, appeared on the Bravo reality show “Work Out” and stars in the network’s new “Friends to Lovers” series.

George Plitt Jr. and two other men were filming north of the Burbank train station Saturday afternoon when Plitt was hit by a southbound Metrolink train carrying 185 people, Burbank Police Sgt. He was also featured on “Days of Our Lives” and has appeared in a number of commercials. “We couldn’t take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on ‘Work Out’ — was as nice as he was beautiful,” Andy Cohen tweeted on Sunday. “Seemed invincible, like Superman.”

Plitt was described on his website as an “actor, model, entrepreneur and motivational speaker” who had appeared on more than 250 fitness magazine covers. He was an amazing human being, motivational speaker, West Point Graduate, Army Ranger, fitness expert and had such a passion for life that is an inspiration for us all. He will never be forgotten and his amazing legacy will live on through the millions of lives he has touched around the world with his motivational videos inspiring people to live life to the fullest and cherish every moment of every day. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, we must treat everyday as a gift and give back what ever we can to help each other and this world become a better place for future generations.
