Ex-‘Real Housewives’ Star To Be Released From Connecticut Prison.

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Teresa Giudice, one of New Jersey’s “Real Housewives,” is set to be freed from prison just a few days before Christmas.Former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, who will be released from The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury on Dec. 23, won’t be Christmas shopping for her daughters because she’ll be short on time, a source tells Confidenti@l. “She’s getting out Wednesday (Dec. 23) and she won’t have time [to get the gifts] by the time she goes through release and gets home,” says our source, who adds that her husband Joe Giudice has been fulfilling Christmas wishes from their daughters Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5. They admitted hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting phony loan applications to get some $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.

Teresa Giudice was sentenced in federal court in Newark to 15 months in prison on conspiracy and bankruptcy charges while her husband, Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice, was sentenced to 41 months. The ex-reality star reported to prison in Danbury in January 2015 and it was announced her sentenced would be reduced by 54 days shortly after her sentence began.

The couple initially pleaded not guilty to dozens of counts, including mail fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, making false statements on loan applications and failure to file tax returns.
