Fellow Country Stars Reach Out to Eddie Montgomery After the Heartbreaking Loss of His 19-Year-Old Son.

“Hazel, myself and all the CDB folks wish to extend our deepest condolences to Eddie Montgomery and family in the loss of his son Hunter,” Tweeted Charlie Daniels of the Charlie Daniels Band.“My son Hunter went to heaven today,” the singer said in a statement. “I appreciate all your prayers and love and thank you for giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye.” Hunter, 19, had been in an accident that left him hospitalized, though it’s unclear what happened.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A spokeswoman for Eddie Montgomery, one-half of the country duo Montgomery Gentry, says the singer has lost his 19-year-old son.
