Actress and model Diana Douglas dies age 92.

Douglas appeared opposite Steve Martin in film Planes, Trains and Automobiles and she also had roles in TV shows such as Dallas, ER, and The West Wing. According to an obituary from Michael Douglas’s production company, Further Films, Diana died of cancer at a motion picture industry retirement home in LA.

According to her obituary, “Kirk Douglas, by then serving in the Navy during World War II, saw her on the cover and told his shipmates he would marry her.” She remained on good terms with Kirk and starred alongside him in a number of films, including her last, 2003’s It Runs In The Family, which starred Kirk, Michael, and Diana’s grandson, Cameron.
