Cruel Intentions Reunion: Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair See the Musical: Pics!.

Last night, Reese Witherspoon caused a very specific subset of the Internet to “break,” as it were, as she posted a shot of herself, Selma Blair, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who, of course, were the three stars of the 1999 phenomenon Cruel Intentions, a film which anyone under the age of 35 likely spent at least eight different high-school slumber parties watching. ‘I Kissed A Girl, Again, And I Liked It!!’ @SarahMGellar & @TheRealSelmaBlair rekindled that #CruleIntentions Big Screen Magic tonight w/ @ReeseWitherspoon when they attended the Sold Out performance of @CruelIntentionsMusical at the @LA_Rockwell!

Reese played goody-goody Annette in the film, which was based on the French novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, while Sarah starred as the manipulative Kathryn and Selma portrayed the role of naive Cecile. Such an amazing fun night w/ these phenomenal ladies! / Photograph By @Bradley206 #BradEverettYoung #DreamLoudOfficial / #SarahMichelleGellar #Katherine #SelmaBlair #Cecile #ReeseWitherspoon #Annette #CruelIntentionsMusical #LARockwell #Kiss #Cruel #Intentions #Brad #Everett #Young #Photography #Sony / Photo taken w/ the @Sony #A3000 This is completely amazing! The Oscar-winner was dating her co-star Ryan Phillippe (Sebastian) while Cruel Intentions was being filmed at the pair went on to marry and have two child together, but split in 2007.

Reese, now 39, Instagrammed several photos of herself with Sarah Michelle, 38, and Selma, 42, from what she described as the “best girls’ night of the year!!!” Onlookers tell E! However she and Ryan are still on good terms and judging by the huge smile on her face in her Instagram pic, she’s still on great terms with Sarah and Selma.

An audience member told Us Weekly: “They took iPhone pictures and it looked like they were debating which one was the cutest to post.” (“Isn’t it funny that every entertainment blog is going to be mandated to post this Instagram?,” we imagine Blair asked, rhetorically, while uploading this picture.) Later, the three actresses journeyed backstage to visit the cast, and that is where Blair and Gellar re-created their famous cinematic kiss, while Witherspoon, as seems befitting, looked on, bemused. News it was clear the trio was having a great time. “There were certain moments throughout the show where their eyes said it all,” says an onlooker. “They looked at one another, shook their heads, laughed a bit. Reese and Selma gave each other a few high-fives!” The musical, directed by Lindsey Rosin, is filled with iconic ’90s songs like TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn,” and Ace of Base’s “I Saw the Sign”—and not surprisingly, Reese, Sarah Michelle and Selma were singing along and dancing in their seats! News exclusively, “Some of the best moments of my life were filming this movie!” Cruel Intentions certainly resonated with its stars—Reese even remembered some of her lines!
