ABC Orders Romcom Pilot from Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.

Power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s latest project, romantic comedy series “Ordinary People,” has landed at ABC with a put pilot order, Variety has confirmed. “Ordinary People,” which shares a name with Legend’s first huge single, is a single-camera romantic comedy series rumored to be based on Legend and Teigen’s relationship. Ordinary People will be written by Survivor’s Remorse’s Tracy Oliver, while Black-ish creator Kenya Barris will act as executive producer of the single-camera comedy as well as Get Lifted’s Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius along with Principato Young’s Peter Principato, Paul Young, Brian Dobbins, and, of course, Legend and Teigen.

In 2012, Legend and his Get Lifted Film Company signed an exclusive deal with Universal Cable Productions in 2012, to develop TV series for both cable and broadcast networks, calling it the “next step forward in building Get Lifted.” Since then, Legend’s company has sold a handful of projects to various networks, including a comedy project loosely based on his years growing up (Fox); a crime drama titled “The Edge,” about an idealistic Harvard Business School graduate who joins a progressive financial firm, where he discovers the company’s dark secrets while becoming entangled in a high-stakes FBI investigation (USA Network); a drama to HBO titled “Down Lo,” set in South Beach, Miami, and was described as an edgy ensemble drama with intersecting stories, one of which will follow a gay rapper living on the “down low” as homosexuality is still not readily accepted in the hip-hop community; and a Showtime network half-hour comedy about music managers – something that Legend himself knows a little something about likely. So basically I’ll be pregnant the rest of my life.” However, the Sports Illustrated beauty admits she has since tired of answering intrusive questions about when the stars will have their first child, because she has been secretly struggling to get pregnant for quite some time. Opening up about her fertility fight during a taping of her new talk show “FABLife” on Wednesday, the 29 year old said, “I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. But my gosh, it’s been a process!” She added, “So, anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m like, ‘One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them. Stop asking me!’” Teigen’s confession was made on the same day her co-host Tyra Banks revealed she, too, had been trying desperately to have a child, revealing to People magazine that she has started in vitro fertilization treatment with her boyfriend of two years, photographer Erik Asla.

We were at the spa the other day and she swore up and down that people came up to her and said, “Are you Pepper Thai?” She also said Erik Estrada came up to her at Ralph’s and said, “you look so familiar, ma’am?” And she said, “I’m Pepper Thai!” CT: I loved Alf, Step by Step, Full House, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Family Matters. The retired supermodel, 41, also vented about her frustrations at motherhood questions during the “FABLife” episode, stating, “I am so tired of seeing on my social media, ‘Why don’t you have kids?

You don’t know what I’m going through.” Growing emotional, Banks continued, “When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, ‘In three years I’m gonna have kids.’ Then I turned 24. ‘In three years I’m gonna have kids.’ And then just every single year I kept saying that. SD: Let’s play Kill-Marry-F with Jerry, George and Kramer? [Editor’s note: There’s a few letters we’re leaving off of the word that starts with “F”]. And after they raise their hand and say, “it’d be funnier if you said ’balls’ instead of ‘boobs.’” And she’s like “you’re right, that is funnier.” That process was so interesting to me.
