Chris Brown Wins Child Custody Battle, Gets Joint Custody of Daughter Royalty.

Chris Brown has been awarded with a victorious end in his child custody war with his baby mama as he has been granted joint custody of his daughter Royalty.A Houston judge ruled strongly in Brown’s favour during a court hearing on September 11 that the rapper and his baby’s mother are to share equal time with their child, reported People magazine. The 26-year-old Chris Brown and Nia Guzman faced off in a Houston court, where Guzman wanted the judge to deprive Brown of any custody rights, but the judge disagreed and gave them 50-50 physical custody rights, reports TMZ.com.

Brown, 26, was ordered to pay USD 2,500 a month in child support, which is what he’s already paying, which was far less than the USD 15,000 a month that Nia had sought. Back in July this year, Brown filed paternity documents to fight over Royalty’s support and custody after he claimed that Nia was denying him legal rights to see the little girl. Chris posted a picture of himself smiling alongside two men in court to confirm the news, as well as attack one particular media outlet for falsely reporting that he hadn’t bothered to show up to the hearing.

Chris attended court in Houston, Texas where the judge issued a gagging order against Nia which stops her from making negative comments about the singer on social media. The Forever singer requested the order after he and Nia had a number of public spats over their daughter, often lashing out in public via websites like Twitter.

The news comes after Brown filed documents in July to establish paternity of his little girl, whom he learned in March he had fathered, months after her birth.
