LOS ANGELES — A family who suffered serious injuries in a fatal traffic collision involving Caitlyn Jenner earlier this year sued the Olympic gold medalist on Friday.

One Wolf-Millesi family member is claiming they ‘suffered a severe cervical fracture that left her permanently disabled’, another person has claimed ‘severe nerve damage’, and a third person is claiming ‘blunt force trauma’.

TMZ also reports that in the family’s lawsuit a one-month-old baby was also travelling in the car who was “not responding at the scene”, it was taken to UCLA Medical Centre and survived following the crash. The Wolf-Millesis were hit head-on by a Lexus that was struck by Jenner’s Cadillac Escalade, which forced the vehicle into their lane of traffic on Pacific Coast Highway, they claim. There has been no damage amount specified and the law firm dealing with the case told TMZ: “The emotional effects of being involved in a collision that has taken the life of another has caused tremendous distress and suffering.” It is the third lawsuit Caitlyn has faced since the fatal crash, after the adult stepchildren of Kim Howe issued a wrongful death suit against the star and an agent driving in a second car said she also suffered several physical injuries as a result. The suit states Peter Wolf-Millesi was driving his Hummer H2 southbound on PCH with his wife in the passenger seat, en route to his son’s tennis tournament. According to the suit, Jenner’s SUV rear-ended Howe’s Lexus LS 430, which launched into soutbound oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Wolf-Millesi’s vehicle. “All of a sudden a car comes into our lane from oncoming traffic and rushes onto our hood.

Prosecutors declined to file a vehicular manslaughter charge against the 66-year-old Jenner, who was born as Bruce Jenner. “It is a devastating tragedy,” the statement read. “I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter.” Jenner, 66, is facing other lawsuits related to the accident.
