Gia Giudice Opens Up About Her Parents Teresa and Joe’s Prison Stints: “Anything Can Happen to Any Family”.

Teresa Giudice’s time in prison hasn’t just been difficult for her—it’s been hard on husband Joe Giudice as well as for the couple’s four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana.”We’ll be spending a lot of time in the bedroom for awhile, that’s for sure,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey husband said with a smile during an interview on Thursday’s E!

The husband and wife were sentenced to 41 months and 15 months in prison in October 2014, respectively, after pleading guilty to mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud the previous March. I always wish she was here.” “I’m glad I was able to keep the girls together, and do what we have to do to get by until she [Teresa] gets home,” said Joe, noting that while he wouldn’t say the family was “doing well” without Teresa, they’re “managing” as best as they can. “The last two years have been rough, but I’m glad it’s behind us,” Joe tells us. “Start a new life. Start all over again and put everything behind you and just hope it all stays nice.” He’ll start all that with some nights alone with his wife once she gets out. “Now I have the kids trained so they all sleep in their bedrooms, so I don’t have to worry about the kids sleeping in my bedroom anymore, or mommy sleeping with them anymore. I can’t say she’s doing great but she looks good,” Joe, 43, told ET. “She keeps her spirits up and tries to make us feel like she’s okay but she’s really not. She wants to be home.” As previously reported, the RHONJ vet will be getting out just in time for Christmas; Joe will then serve 41 months for his fraud charges.

In the meantime, the family has also been visiting Teresa in prison. “Whenever we get there, Milania is just like, ‘Mommy why can’t you just come home? Why don’t you just get up and leave?’ And Teresa is like, ‘Soon baby soon.’ Audriana doesn’t really say much about it but she cries sometimes,” Joe said. “In the beginning, she used to cry and now she’s getting kind of used to it. Now she just goes, does her thing, plays with the other kids, and then we just go home. [Audriana is] happy about saying goodbye but I’m sure it’s killing my wife when we all leave.”
