Brandy Acts Like a Weirdo and Sings on the Subway, Gets Ignored by Everyone: Watch the Embarrassing Video.

While riding the NYC Subway to 50th and Broadway, Brandy — in disguise — sang “Home” from The Wiz. Singer/actress Brandy was left nursing a bruised ego when she burst into song on a New York train and was ignored by commuters – until one passenger told her the performance was no big deal.In a video posted on Brandy’s blog Monday, the former Moesha star serenades her fellow subway riders while wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses. “I decided to hit the subway and sing my little heart out,” she wrote. “You’ve GOTTA check out this video and see why this fun-filled morning left me asking: Can a Sistah get ONE fan?!” But she doesn’t quite get the response she was looking for: “I just gave that my all,” Brandy says jokingly after performing, “and then nobody said nothing.” “Watch below. Thing is, passengers weren’t aware it was Brandy — and no one paid her any attention. “What y’all thought of that?” she asked jokingly to those close to her. “Y’all thought that was cool? Brandy, who won a Grammy Award in 1999, is currently starring on Broadway in a production of “Chicago,” and she decided to give travelers on the Big Apple’s subway a free treat.

Brandy, 36 — who stars as Roxie Hart — briefly belts out a rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Home,” but the jaded straphangers who made up her impromptu audience were unimpressed. Nobody cares?” Subway riders, still unaware it’s Brandy, didn’t respond. (Maybe performing a song of her own would’ve changed that.) “People in New York are very rude.

Ever since moving here in April I’ve made sure to REALLY experience the city,” she wrote on her blog on Monday, July 13. “I’ve hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I’ve gotten accustomed to taking the subway too. OK.” However, one man then offered some words of advice but surprised the singer by explaining her behavior was nothing unusual on the New York subway and she was too “into” herself to connect with others.
