Bobby Flay and Stephanie March Divorce Finalized: Bobby Pays Up To Avoid Trial, Messy Cheating Scandal.

The celebrity chef and the “Law & Order: SVU” actress split in March, and The Post revealed the following month that he was having an affair with a young aide. The two issued a statement on Friday saying that they have reached “an amicable divorce settlement”. “We look forward to putting this hard time behind us and we ask that you respect our privacy as we move forward”, Flay’s rep said in a statement.

It got pretty ugly there for a minute, with cheating accusations and March even claiming he canceled her credit cards, but sources say March was the victor in this dispute.Bobby Flay and Stephanie March settled what became one of the nastiest celebrity divorces in years, TMZ has confirmed, and Stephanie did WAY better than what she would have gotten under the prenup. March discovered late last year that the Food Network star had for three years been seeing 28-year old Elyse Tirrell, who worked as a hostess at the chef’s Bar Americain in Midtown and became his assistant.

He vehemently denied a report in May in New York Post’s Page Six that the break up was the result of his affair with his 28-year-old assistant Elyse Tirrel. But Flay, who was also linked to his fellow Food Network chef Giada de Laurentiis after they were spotted dining together on the eve of her divorce announcement, has denied cheating on his wife of 10 years.

When the couple first split, Stephanie’s lawyer refused the original alimony agreement based on the couple’s prenuptial agreement on the grounds that Bobby Flay had cheated on her while they were married. And while there was a pre-nup in place from their 2005 wedding under which Flay is to pay her $5,000 a month, the couple battled in court over money and property. First the Law & Order: SVU actress decided she wanted to fight the terms of their prenup, since she felt she deserved more than $5,000 each month for five years. Last month he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but the day was overshadowed by a plane flying overhead with a banner reading “Cheater.” At the time, Flay’s rep insinuated it was March’s doing. The cheating rumors were “written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that’s unfortunate,” his rep said, adding, “Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a pre-nuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage.”

The couple clashed in court appearances, including one in May where March grilled Flay for bringing his publicist to the proceedings, despite a judge’s order not to discuss the case. There is most likely a clause in the divorce agreement banning Stephanie from doing any interviews or tell-all books on the scandal, or else she could lose her alimony.
