‘Dancing With the Stars': Bindi Irwin soars.

Appearing on Ellen in the US, the Dancing with the Stars performer, 17, said she doesn’t think the famed “crocodile hunter” even danced at his wedding to her mum, Terri. “Dad wasn’t exactly known for his dancing. The 17-year-old looked cute in a black T-shirt with an image of an elephant on the front, teamed with three-quarter-length spandex pants and khaki sneakers. Bushy-haired Powell, who hails from Florida, was casually dressed in a grey T-shirt with short black sleeves, black cargo trousers and matching sneakers. Bindi, who appeared on the talk show with her dancing partner Chandler Powell, said it had been “amazing” dedicating the show’s season to her dad, who died after being struck by a stingray barb on September 4, 2006.

Julianne Hough complained that she missed the Argentine tango dynamic, and Carrie Ann Inaba said the dance’s second half was stronger than the first. Tamar Braxton displayed slinky exuberance on a very adult foxtrot set to the Doors’ “People Are Strange.” She was mighty confident in the taped segment (“I’m probably the best dancer in the competition”), but the judges pointed to mistakes in the dance. Andy Grammer was full of fierce energy on a paso doble that often became a group dance to Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People.” Inaba and Hough said the dance worked, but Tonioli said Grammer’s posture wasn’t right.
