BET Awards 2015 Nominations: Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown Land the Most.

Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and Beyonce lead the pack for most BET Award nominations in 2015. So it’s safe to say that the Billboard Music Awards were PRETTY incredible last night (May 17), what with Taylor Swift finally debuting her ‘Bad Blood’ music video and One Direction dedicating their award to Zayn Malik. He’ll go head-to-head against Minaj, who’s nominated for the same top prize with “Anaconda.” Brown is also in the running for best male R&B/pop artist, best collaboration (with two nods) and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.

But there was also the small case of some incredible performances, and Nicki Minaj made it clear that nobody was going to steal her thunder – not even a dancing Swifty in the crowd. Nicki and David Guetta teamed up for an epic mash up of ‘The Night Is Still Young’ and ‘Hey Mama’, and while the first track was quite tame, the second song soon turned pretty raunchy. Joined by some very impressive dancers, Nicki wasn’t shy to drop things low and get the Billboard audience a little hot under the collar (that fire popping up from the stage probably didn’t help matters either). Beyonce’s “7/11″ will also compete in the crowded video of the year race, along with Big Sean’s “IDFWU” and Common and John Legend’s Oscar-winning “Glory,” from the film “Selma.” Taraji P. Meanwhile, “Annie,” “Beyond the Lights,” “Selma,” “Think Like a Man Too” and “Top Five” will vie for best movie. “This year’s nominees showcase a diverse group of talent that includes longstanding entertainers, breakout performers, and outstanding athletes,” BET’s president of programming Stephen Hill said in a statement.
