He also participated with buddy Matt Damon on a new (and controversial) season of HBO’s “Project Greenlight,” which comes to an end November 1; the resulting film “The Leisure Class” airs on November 2. When William’s estranged brother, Leonard (Tom Bell), turns up unannounced on the eve of their wedding, his actions threaten to reveal the truth about the scam, and about Fiona’s family. Literally in that moment, was I going to risk public humiliation, bringing up this opinion, or deal with shame and excuses.” Brown’s remarkable candor, both on “Project Greenlight” and in her interview with Thompson, has made this season of “Project Greenlight” pop—and, one hopes, will have the same effect on Mann’s first feature.
