Everything we know about The Flash season 2 (so far).

When The Flash kicks off its second season, the scarlet speedster will be bringing some new friends (and foes!) with him when he returns from gallantly running into the singularity in the season 1 finale. To aid in that feeling, The CW released a whole bunch of photos from “The Man Who Saved Central City,” and there were quite a few things that caught my eye. EST. stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Jesse L. For starters, it looks like Central City really will be throwing the Fastest Man Alive a celebration of some kind, which is probably the least he can do since he saved the day by plunging headfirst into danger at the end of Season 1.

Seeing that the man in yellow was getting the upper hand, Eddie (Rick Cosnett) decided to shoot himself, knowing it would effectively erase his descendant from the timeline. The new season will see the addition of newcomers Violett Beane as the female speedster Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Tokamak, and Candyman himself Tony Todd as the voice of the new “big bad,” Zoom. is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, David Nutter and Sarah Schechter. Following the defeat of Barry Allen’s arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. It appears that Barry will end up on Earth-Two, essentially opening up a wormhole that allows new and maybe familiar metahumans to cross over and wreck havoc in Central City — in particular, Zoom, who will be voiced by Tony Todd, though the identity of who’s really portraying the character is being kept under wraps.

Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom? Zoom’s arrival facilitates the introduction of original Flash Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), who comes with a warning for Barry, whom he’ll be mentoring this season. Whether Wells is around because the timeline was changed or he’s a counterpart from an alternate Earth, he won’t be exactly the same man the gang at S.T.A.R.

Plus: During The Flash and Arrow’s annual crossover episode, the characters from Legends of Tomorrow will appear, setting up the new midseason spin-off. Naturally, many fans assume something bad will happen to Ronnie, which seems cruel to Caitlin Snow (or is it Caitlin Raymond now?) considering how often she’s already had her heart yo-yo back and forth between having her love and losing him.
