It will also see Entertainment One handle the TV distribution rights, licensing and merchandising for the US studio, and distribute its films in territories such as Australia, New Zealand, Spain and the UK.Steven Spielberg’s film company DreamWorks Studios has formed a new partnership with Peppa Pig owner Entertainment One (eOne), allowing both players to tap into new markets.

Upcoming film projects for Amblin Partners include The BFG, The Light Between Oceans, starring Michael Fassbender, and A Dog’s Purpose, starring Bradley Cooper. The collaboration, which will see the creation of a new company called Amblin Partners, will allow eOne to expand its film, television and merchandise distribution into new regions, while Mr Spielberg will use Amblin as a platform from which to launch films and other content to audiences across the globe. The joint venture also includes US film and TV firm Participant Media, led by chairman Jeff Skoll, and Indian healthcare-to-communications conglomerate Reliance Group. Upcoming shows from Amblin TV include “All the Way,” an HBO movie directed by Jay Roach and starring Bryan Cranston, with an airdate to be announced shortly; and “American Gothic,” a summer series that will air on CBS and begin production in February 2016.
