Adele Plays ‘Box of Lies,’ Sings ‘Water Under the Bridge’ on ‘The Tonight Show’.

Adele’s earth-shaking rendition of “Hello” on Saturday Night Live this past weekend still hasn’t made its way online, but a short GIF from the end of her appearance has made the rounds. On Monday night, the British singer-songwriter took the “Tonight Show” stage to perform “Water Under the Bridge,” from her new album “25,” live for the first time.

Everyone’s favorite person in the world right now, Adele, showed up on “The Tonight Show” on Monday night to play a game with Jimmy Fallon – and to perform a song off her runaway smash, “25.” First she and Fallon sat down for a round of the popular “Tonight Show” segment “Box of Lies,” with the “Hello” singer mentioning she had been “waiting her whole life” to play this game. “It was either this or the ‘Lip Sync Battle,’” she joked. Adele’s take on the album track, which is more up-tempo than the first two singles “Hello” and “When We Were Young,” had the audience out of their seats and cheering by the time she was done. But he needn’t have worried, as Adele took the game very seriously, deftly convincing Fallon that she had a stuffed giraffe with three (or, as she pronounces it, “free”) doughnuts around its neck in her possession.
