Adele new album: ‘Hello’ singer to perform songs from 25 on BBC special with Graham Norton.

Adele At The BBC will be hosted by Graham Norton on BBC One and will see the British singer performing new songs from forthcoming album ’25’ alongside classic tracks and chatting about her life and career. The British singer-songwriter’s first record in nearly five years, 25, is due out on 20 November but fans might not have to wait that long to hear what she’s been up to after all. The BBC has been wonderful to me over the years and Graham and I get on great so it’s going to be a laugh.” Norton adds: “This is the music event of the year and I’m thrilled to be part of bringing it to BBC One. It will be Adele’s first TV performance since she performed Skyfall at the 85th Academy Awards in February 2013, where she won the best original song honor for the theme of the 23rd James Bond film.

If I wasn’t hosting this special I’d be sat at home watching it!” The comeback single was released last Friday (October 23) and is fans’ first taste of her new album ’25’, due for release in November. Official Charts Company data shows that ‘Hello’ has already sold in excess of 165,000 combined sales and streams since last week and has been downloaded 156,000 times.

BBC Worldwide on Tuesday announced first pre-sales for the program to Canal Plus in Spain, VRT in Belgium, Vara on NPO3 in The Netherlands and CTV in Canada. Adele is expected to surpass this by the end of the week. ‘Hello’ would become only Adele’s second Number One single on this Friday’s Official Singles Chart, with her first coming 2011 when ‘Someone Like You’ spent five weeks at the top.
