Actually happening: Style icon Sarah Jessica Parker wants you to buy jeans.

Los Angeles: Actress Sarah Jessica Parker says she’s become less influenced by “trends” as she’s got older, and prefers to buy timeless staple items for her wardrobe to wear over and over again. “I tend to wear things and buy things that are for life now. “My first jeans were a pair that I inherited from my sister,” she told People magazine. “Back in the day, when someone outgrew jeans in terms of length, my mum would just add a piece of tapestry tape to it and it would make it longer. It’s not every day you see a Hollywood star chowing down on a greasy fry, but Sex and the City actress SJP couldn’t resist sampling traditional Irish fare at a cafe in the North of Ireland. The movie star, 50, called into Doherty’s cafe in Bridgend with famous hubby Matthew Broderick and their three children for a fry up before jetting back to the US.

The “Sex And The City” actress also said that she thinks part of the reason her style has changed over the years has been because she doesn’t want to embarrass her son James, 12, or six-year-old twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, who she parents with her husband Matthew Broderick. The fall women’s collection, which starts at $16.44, features “an updated and contemporary denim… designed for consumers who seek value in style, quality and dependable fits”, according to a press release. I’m less inclined to be hypnotized by a trend or a ‘moment,’ but I think that’s a really important part in young women’s lives: to experience and dabble and sort of flirt with all those things because it sorts out who you are” Parker said.

The family were on their way to Belfast International Airport after spending time at their Kilcar cottage, and couldn’t resist the sizzling snack before jumping on a long haul flight bound for New York. “We were all star-struck – but at the same time no-one wanted to bother them by asking for pictures. While we’re all for a great pair of form-fitting jeans, we know that with tight items of clothing come horror stories. “So I got those, those were hand me downs”.

During a recent interview with People magazine the actress talked about jeans-admitting she owns many pairs, and that some are very old. “I love the brand – it really is an iconic brand, anybody would have said yes, I think!” “So I don’t know what that jean was but I remember the experience [shopping for them]”. “Jeans, it’s hard to deny how they’re so accommodating. The actress said she would consider a permanent move to the small village of Kilcar after falling in love with the scenery, locals and – a good old fashioned fry-up. And probably, if you look back at choices you made five years ago, you wouldn’t necessarily regret anything — you might go, ‘I don’t know if I would wear that dress today,’ but you were probably really happy wearing it at the time,”Parker told, reports “I have daughters.

Matthew Broderick, whose father’s family hails from Kilcar in Co Donegal and who spent his summers there as a child, added: “We will probably go this summer at some point. Probably not that consciously, but I would probably not go pick (them) up in something that I used to wear, just because it’s not right for me,” she added.
