Actress Valerie Harper Has Been Released From the Hospital.

Actress Valerie Harper has been released from the hospital she was taken to in York, Maine after being found unconscious backstage before a theater performance Wednesday, Deadline.com reports. The 75-year-old actress, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009 before it spread to her brain in 2013, was hospitalized Wednesday evening at York General Hospital in Maine after indicating she wasn’t feeling well, reports Deadline. “She is resting comfortably and will remain in the hospital for observation for the time being,” the Ogunquit Playhouse theater where Harper is appearing in the production of “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” said in a statement on Wed. The former Mary Tyler Moore Show actress expressed that she was “not feeling well,” and her hospital visit was a “precaution,” according to a release from the theater.

The department was not able to reveal the name of that individual. “The audiences and all of us here at the Playhouse are greatly enjoying our time with Valerie here in Ogunquit, and we are encouraged that she is feeling better,” Bradford T. Shortly after, about 9:40 p.m., the artistic director announced to the audience that the ambulance seen on the side of the lawn was for Harper and that she had fallen ill and would not be performing, ET’s anchor and correspondent, Ron Corning, stated. “In a way, it’s a positive thing to know that a year’s gone by and it’s nowhere else in my body,” Harper told ET in April after reports indicated she was “cured” of the cancer. “So I am cancer free from the neck down, so far.”
