‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ First Trailer Reveals Evil Queen Team.

Charlize Theron’s evil Queen Ravenna is back in the first trailer for the ice-laden “Snow White and the Huntsman” sequel, “The Huntsman Winter’s War,” and she’s ready to face off against Chris Hemsworth’s title character again. Previously titled The Huntsman, the action-adventure film adds two new characters to the mix: Sara, a brave warrior (Jessica Chastain), and Freya, Ravenna’s ice queen sister (Emily Blunt). Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain’s warrior play the Ice Queen’s lieutenants, who run afoul of her when they refuse to follow orders and harden their hearts to love — setting up plenty of battle scenes.

But once she discovers Ravenna can be resurrected from its golden depths, the wicked sisters threaten this enchanted land with twice the darkest force it’s ever seen. When Freya learns of her sister’s demise, she summons her remaining soldiers to bring the Magic Mirror home to the only sorceress left who can harness its power. Now, their amassing army shall prove undefeatable…unless the banished huntsmen who broke their queen’s cardinal rule can fight their way back to one another.”

Tina Fey Heads Off to War in Hilarious First Trailer for Whiskey Tang Foxtrot

Tina Fey Heads Off to War in Hilarious First Trailer for Whiskey Tang Foxtrot.

Fey’s character takes the assignment to escape her boring desk job and depressing boyfriend – problems an Afghani woman calls “the most American white lady story I’ve ever heard.” Along the way she meets Margot Robbie while stationed in Kabul, who informs her that while she might only be a 6 or 7 in New York’s dating scene, in Afghanistan she’s more like a 9 or 10. The actress stars in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, an adaptation of reporter Kim Barker’s book, The Taliban Shuffle — a comic tale about her experience working in Afghanistan and Pakistan. This means that in addition to avoiding death and injury in violent combat areas, Barker’s life in Afghanistan provides a brand-new perspective on how she’ll be judged on her looks. In the first trailer for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot—the phonetic alphabet version of “WTF”—Kim Barker (Fey) and Tanya Vanderpoel (Margot Robbie) are entrenched in Kabul as foreign correspondents during the War in Afghanistan in the early 2000s. Funnily enough, a 2011 New York Times review of the book says that Barker depicts herself as “a sort of Tina Fey character.” It’s all coming full circle.

But the movie isn’t all “Ha-ha, aren’t war zones funny?” – there is a shot of Robbie’s injured character in a hospital bed, and through it all, Fey’s Kim Barker is determined to put herself into whatever danger necessary to get the story she needs. Fey’s character runs from explosions, learns how to fire an automatic, and fends off her fellow male journalists (or doesn’t, as the case may be).

Written by 30 Rock showrunner and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-creator Robert Carlock, and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the film also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Alfred Molina and Margot Robbie. In the best scene in the clip, Fey is filming Kabul’s first licensed female driver, who promptly crashes her car backwards into a cluster of market stands. “That sucks.
